All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it,” when the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway once asked him about key to success.

Less impulse decisive
Decision making is one of the important aspects of personality development. The more you are impulse decisive the more you make mistakes that result in less time for improvements.

Reading habit improves decision power as you learn from others mistakes by reading about various people.

Warren Buffett once said, “I read and think. So I do more reading and thinking and make fewer impulse decisions than most people in the business. I do it because I like this kind of life.”

Focus and concentration
Focus is important to get anything done better. However, in this world of distraction from social media platforms to television, it is hard to focus on anything for a longer.

Reading habit improves focus and concentration skills as you focus more while reading to understand the story and character. Reading habit works as a technique to improve concentration.

Time management
People blame of time constraints for not doing something that is important to them. In reality, they don’t run out of time, but they aren’t able to manage their time. They waste more time than investing it somewhere.

On the other hand, if you take out time for reading you ultimately practice the habit of taking out time for important tasks.

Stronger memory
When you read an article or book you have to remember characters and story while reading. Hence this helps in remembering and recalling the characters when needed in the plot of the story.

Research published in the Journal of American Academy of Neurology finds that people who engage in mentally stimulating activities like reading experience slower memory decline than those who do not.

There are many aspects of personality development that improve through reading consistently. So, promise yourself to read more and more from newspapers to books and magazines to become a better and successful person.
