You have been blessed with a precious month called Ramadan to bring a major change in your life. However, because of some reasons you fail to do so. This Ramadan make sure you don’t leave any stone unturned to improve your personality and change your life.
Ramadan is the month when all Muslims start visiting mosque more often. Even those who do not practice prayer except Friday one. It is the month when Muslims wake up in the middle of the night (before dawn) to have something to eat for fasting. Even those who would wake up before one hour of office schedule. This is the month when Muslims start reciting Quran as much as they can. Even those who don’t touch Quran whole year. It is the month when Muslims abstain themselves from bad deeds such as gossiping, fighting, wasting time, watching movies and favourite shows.
However, only a few of the Muslims actually manage to embed good habits and mould their personalities as Allah wants. This is so because many Muslims don’t plan for this month in advance. In the initial days of Ramadan they practice prayers regularly and recite Quran more and then the month goes as usual.
Afterwards, they regret not able to improve their lives as they want to. Unfortunately, some Muslim don’t even regret wasting the precious month.
The Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Ramadan has come to you. (It is) a month of blessing, in which Allah covers you with blessing, for He sends down Mercy, decreases sins and answers prayers. In it, Allah looks at your competition (in good deeds), and boasts about you to His angels. So show Allah goodness from yourselves, for the unfortunate one is he who is deprived in (this month) of the mercy of Allah, the Mighty, the Exalted.” [Narrated by Tabarani]
I can see many Muslim who waste their time eating delicious food and roam around with friends all night and then sleep after midnight breakfast (Sehri) until noon. I have seen many Muslims who complain of hunger and thirst whole day and then eat so much in Iftar that they don’t even pray Maghrib prayer and Taraweeh. That is how they spend Ramadan. Such Muslims are really unfortunate for themselves.
Consider Ramadan as a life Changing month. You have 30 days. You can mould your life as you have been dreaming of for better life. It is scientifically proved that 30 days is enough to develop any habit. As this month is the month when Allah showers more mercy you can repent and start afresh.
Here are habits that you can develop in this month with ease and improve your personality for your better life.
Not being a morning person always ruin day schedule. On the contrary, being a morning person makes you more productive and successful in life. In this month of Ramadan, you get to wake to up around 3 or 3:30(i.e before dawn) In the morning. You can be a morning person if you sleep little early just after Taraweeh prayer. You do not have to sleep again after Fajr (early morning prayer).
Wake up before dawn. Practice tahajjud (extra prayer before dawn) then have breakfast. Practice fajr prayer and then start your day instead of sleeping again. This way you can be a morning person that many people dream of being so.
Punctuality in prayer
Since in This month we focus on practising prayers on time in congregation it is the best time to get punctual for prayers whole life. Practice every prayer in congregation in this 30 days so that you embed this habit in your life for forever.
You will notice that being punctual in prayer helps you to be punctual in other aspects of life.
The habit of reciting Quran and study
The more you have knowledge the more you inspire to practice them. Moreover, you become more confident and conscientious in life. Muslims recite Quran more in this month. What is needed is recite Quran with understanding. So that you gain more knowledge. Learn more supplications too.
Additionally, you should read books related to Islam and worldly books too to enhance your knowledge. The habit of reading has a major impact on one’s life. Reading habit also keep us away from wasting time too. Why don’t we embed this habit in this month then?
Muslims abstain themselves from gossiping, fighting, abusive language and anger. Muslims show respect and compassion toward others in this month. Which makes the character and conduct better. However, for better character and conduct this habit needs to be continued further in life. Do not restrict your good character for this month only. It will make you a better person in your family as well as in your society.
You still have time. Plan your self and dedicate this Ramadan to transform your life for the success of this world and hereafter.
