We have two types of people around us. One who consistently improve their life and climb up ladders one after another. The second one is those who continue living their lives without any extraordinary achievements. Do you know what differs extraordinary people from ordinary people? It is the ‘pursuit of excellence’.

Some people always complain about their unsatisfied life. Whenever you meet them, they just make complaints. On the other hand, there are people who not only talk about their problems in life but also discuss how they are going to solve the problems and make their lives successful.

People who always complain about their unsatisfied life have already infused one thing in their mind- ‘We are not capable enough for the pursuit of excellence to achieve better in life’.

On the contrary, people who are doing extraordinary in their lives are always in the way of pursuing excellence.

If you examine people around you, you will come to know that there are few people who were doing nothing in their lives earlier, but now achieved many things. What did they do in their lives that made them achieve so much?

They are consistently in the pursuit of excellence.

Nobody can change you except you
Many people tend to forget that no one will come to change their life. They themselves have to make efforts to achieve what they want. The Holy Quran in chapter 13 and verse 28 says:

“Allah never changes the condition of a people unless they change what is in themselves”

The above verse of the Holy Quran clearly says that no one going to change you (or your condition) unless you make any efforts to change yourself.

We have to change own-self from inside to see the change what we want outside. We can not expect anything good while doing nothing. Mere complaints lead to nowhere.

We have also heard some people saying that they want to achieve something in their lives but they do not have resources or do not have the capacity to achieve what they want.

The situation of helplessness come across to everyone. But, it does not mean that we should just withhold and cry foul all life. Remember one thing, when one door of opportunity gets closed there are many doors of opportunities that are open. However, we pay heed to the closed one so much that we forget to figure out the open ones.

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one, which has been opened for us,” Helen Keller.

Doors of opportunities
No hurdles can keep you away from your dream if you have a strong motive and willpower. Human beings are bestowed with infinite capabilities.

Verse 286 of chapter two in the Holy Quran says, “Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear…”

Nouman Ali Khan, an American Muslim speaker and Arabic instructor who founded The Bayyinah Institute for Arabic and Quranic Studies say in a lecture that the verse of the Quran is not translated clearly. While explaining the clear meaning he said it supposed to be, “Allah has not burdened you with anything except your own potential.” He said this is the clear meaning of the verse.

He kept on explaining and said that no matter how well you accomplished but you always have a space for improvement. “Allah wants you to push yourself, push yourself and show him what you have made of,” Nouman Ali Khan added further.

It is clear that we are bestowed with unlimited potential. It depends on us how we use our limitless potential to achieve wondrous in life.

Decide what you want to achieve in life and keep pursuing excellence to achieve your goals.
